SS20/SunOS4.1.4 - Finding dynamically linked functions w i thout source code

Many thanks for the people who took time out and responded to my post.

There were some many...

However, most responded with the command ldd and nm. Some suggested looking

for the Sun

Linker and Library manual. Thanks for the information...

However, I would like to point out that there was one individual that dealt

me quite a bit of

sarcasm that was uninvited. The purpose of this list is to exchange ideas

and help each other.

You may be strong in a certain area that I am not and vice-versa. Sometimes

there will be posts

where the answer is trivial and because of a mental block, the person asking

the question cannot readily see the trivial answer. Furthermore, sometimes

by posting a seemingly

trivial question you might be able to find a new solution. For instance,

what if someone had a question

similar to mine and developed in-house utilities that could be used to solve

it?

All of this assumes that you have first checked the Sun Manager's archive,

which I stated that

I had checked.

To the many who responded with kind and courteous replies Thanks. You are

what make this list great!!

To the one individual who thought enough of my post to take time out of

their busy day to share sarcasm with me,

please, I don't want your sarcasm. Leave it at home or with someone who

appreciates it. I don't!

Jim :)
