Many thanks to all that answered, to many to list. The rejecting of host

names with a "_" in them is a feature, enforcing RFC standards. The

sugested fix of replacing the "_" with "-" is not doable at this site. My

solution was to copy the in.named from one of my Solaris 2.5.1 systems onto

my 2.6 system. Everything appears to be working at this time.
