Original query:

On Solaris 2.4, select(2) seems to indicate that a socket

(AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM and O_NONBLOCK) is ready for reading

when in fact there is no data to be read.

This is a bug in Solaris2.4, a patch will be released sometime soon. I

don't know the revision number, but it will be in the Kernel "Jumbo"

patch, i.e. 101945.

available kernel jumbo patch.
