SUN 3/260 and rpc.statd

Original question:
I get this message on the console of a SUN 3/260 running SunOS 4.0.3
rpc.statd: cannot talk to statd at sendmail.cf
It comes on the console every 15 secs or so.
The computer serves as a mailhost for several other Suns. Running
NFS only.
Anyone have a clue?

The answeres suggested that sendmail.cf were put in /etc/sm by accident.
After stopping rpc.statd, removing /etc/sm/sendmail.cf, and starting
rpc.statd again, everything is ok.
