It seems that this is a problem with all Sun-3's under 4.0.3, not just 50's

and 60's as originally posted.

The amount of swap and other configuration issues seem irrelevant.

The good news is that it IS fixed in 4.1, but apparently there is no patch

for 4.0.3.
