Solaris 9.0 ARP problem

I am facing problem with ARP in Solaris 9.0. This is a strange problem
in the sense that it occurs intermittently and only while
communicating to network printers. Even through the arp entry exists
in the arp cache, the system is unable to get replies from the
printer. However the moment i delete the arp cache entry for the
printer, the reply come immediately. I would appreciate if any body
can help me with this problem.
