What is the method to edit the .profile in Solaris 10 x86? When I
edit the file directly and log back in as that users profile, it did
accept any of my environment settings or aliases.

Would I need to specify my .profile in .dtprofile so that it knows to
run the .profile, for example

. /home/wheakory/.profile

If someone could give me a step by step instructions/example/web link on
how to edit the users and root .profile I would appreciate it.
