storedge T3 (Fiber Optic) array . ( do I need veritas volume manager or)

I have a Netra T1/105 box and Storedge T3.

Questions:

Do I need veritas volume manager ?

Can I use Solaris volume manager that comes with Solaris 9 ?

Can I not use any volume manager and just see the individual disks for use ?
