We are looking at implementing a software solution that runs on the
oracle database. We have, so far, had very little oracle in our
shop, but this may be changing in a big way soon.

Our choice, though, is Oracle on HP vs. Oracle on Sun.

I'm interested in any perceived pros/cons of the hpux/solaris
environments (in general, and anything specifically related to
oracle).

I personally have experience in both (though a bit more on the hp side),
but I am trying to stay open-minded here.
