I need GCC 3.1, and more specifically the new libraries with GCC 3.1, to
compile apache 1.3.26. The problem is that I can't get GCC 3.1 to compile
from source using GCC 2.95.3 on my Sol 7 box (which is a sparc 20), and the
pre-compiled packages on sunfreeware.com are too big even though I still have
about 300-400MB of space left after de-compression. I run into space issue
even if I just try to install the libraries package. It seems that GCC 3.1 is
looking for sparcv9. That would be in relation to 64-bit libraries, wouldn't
it? Are there any configure switches I can use to avoid this? Does anyone
have any smaller packages of 3.1? Any help would be appreciated.
