Need to identify the path to a HP Surstore tape changer?
I was told by sun support that I should make sure the port on the switch I am using, is set for "Quick Loop" mode. This change was made, and since then, the server recognizes the tape drives, and I was able to get Solaris to create device files in the rmt directory.
In the path_to_inst file the following line identifies the tape devices:
"/sbus at 2,0/SUNW,socal at d,10000/sf at 0,0/st at w50060b0100060543,1" 28 "st" "/sbus at 2,0/SUNW,socal at d,10000/sf at 0,0/st at w50060b0100060543,2" 29 "st"
What didn't get made, was the driver for the robotic changer. I modified the sgen.conf file with the following option:
device-type-config-list="changer";
with no luck.
What I don't know is what scsi target to use. I uncommented all of the lines that are in the sgen.conf file by default, but still no scsi driver for the robotics. Below are the other paths on the same board that I see in the path_to_inst file. Are these my "target"?
